He is the co-founder of Seed of Faith Church, a multicultural, multi‑ethnic teaching ministry committed to communicating the life‑changing message of Jesus with clarity and practical application. He and his wife, Myra Scales, served many years as senior pastors and church administrators before transitioning from those roles to authors and speakers.

In addition to his vocational ministry, Pastor Scales built a strong record of organizational leadership in the private sector. He founded and led successful home‑care agencies, establishing Better At Home Services' growing operations to multimillion‑dollar annual revenues. Earlier roles in services marketing and operations at HFS (formerly Honeywell Federal Systems) sharpened his skills in strategy, business development, and team leadership. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration (Strayer College, honors), is a Certified Manager through the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, and is pursuing advanced theological study; he also holds an honorary Doctorate in Christian Education.

Known for a servant’s heart and practical teaching style, Pastor Scales blends biblical insight with real‑world experience—equipping couples, pastors, and church leaders to build resilient, Christ‑centered marriages and healthy ministries. She holds Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, as well as an honorary doctorate in Christian Education.

As co-founder of Seed of Faith Church in Raytown, Missouri, Myra has devoted her life to helping individuals and families grow in faith and flourish in every season. She also serves as Executive Director of Impact Neighborhood Community Center, Inc., where she helps lead programs focused on health, fitness, and career development for underserved families. Her work has extended throughout the Kansas City area through outreach, advocacy, and collaboration that strengthen schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
